Good for you - I thought that I was odd not really owning one. As long as there are payphones around, I don't mind

A pity that BT have stopped the Chargecard service, even though they say that you can pay for calls using a debit or credit card. I got my first in the mid 1990s around the time when Bob Hoskins was appearing in the BT ads.

I have always been a landline person, but mine was just a basic one.

My First Mobile was a motorola Razr in 2012 its is the best smartphone. And the surprising thing is that currently, I am using this phone as a secondary mobile.

I nearly got a Trium Mars, but Index were sold out & offered my an Ericsson instead, which I bought.

Mine was a Trium. It worked, well 6 calls out of 10 connected! It was on BT Cellnet I believe I got it around 1999/2000. Still in the drawer I think!

That was my first pay as you go phone. It was the Bosch 509e, it cost me £120 from Dixons back in Nov 1999.

And to update, iPhone 4s (stolen after four months), iPhone 4s (completely wrecked through soft drink spillage after 17 months). I never damaged any of the cheaper phones or had them stolen

Mine was an Orange phone, can't remember much else about it except it was faulty and I can't even remember what the fault was.

It was a Motorola flip phone that looked like a brick in the early 90s

Being the Luddite that I am I resisted getting a mobile until just this year. My first and only mobile is an LG Smartphone.

Yup - certainly was! Spiffiest thing this side of a Mobira (Nokia's original UK name) Cityman back then. No idea how it would have lasted long term though, it seemed pretty flimsy in comparison to the Mobira & Motorola models of the time. I knew a chap who had an original Cityman 1320 right up 'til analogue switch off - and on the original NAM too! Surely a record??
