World War II buff here. What cracks me up about "Hogan's Heroes" is that it was made at a time when Hollywood was churning out epic World War II films yet they couldn't scare up a British battledress uniform for Newkirk (Richard Dawson) because he's actually wearing a Korean War era US Air Force uniform though they did a great job with the German uniforms.
