Rise of the Planet of the Apes. I bit ridiculous, the apes Etc. could all have been wiped out with an air-strike with chemical weapons.
Another one I recall, Rambo. Stupid to say the least.

"Remake of The Thing - just horrible"

The 1982 movie was great and was a remake of the 1951 movie - The Thing (from another world).
The 2011 movie wasn't a remake but was a prequel and I enjoyed it a lot. The attention to detail was astonishing, so it flows into the 1982 version seamlessly.
