I read that Kenny Everett made a similar joke on one of his radio shows and he got into a bit of hot water at the time.

If we put the clocks back on the final Sunday in October, then why isn't that date regarded as the longest day of the year?

Of course, the date obviously changes each year so that it falls on the same day of the week.

I was thinking about the BBC 1 arts programme Omnibus which ran for many years, and I was actually wondering whether there had ever been an omnibus edition of Omnibus?

Thank your lucky stars that you don't come from my neck of the woods whether people overuse the word "duck" when addressing people. Mind you, the younger people quite often use a word that rhymes with "duck".
