I only landed extra roles in some indie movies. I'm not knocking small budget movies, but they don't normally go anywhere, and they certainly don't make you feel like you've "made it" as an actor either. Finding a distributor is tough, so there have been movies I was in, yet I never saw them. Some people are that snooty on Facebook, that they will immediately block you just for asking. You know you're blocked when their page becomes suddenly unavailable. Meh.
Then you get sad losers who say things like, "You're just an extra!" Um, maybe try it yourself, you tool. Then maybe you'll see that it's never easy being on a film set.
Besides not having an agent or any contacts in the industry, I also have terrible anxiety, so it's hard for me to do anything. However, I did drama back when I was in college, and was lauded for my role as the Scarecrow, and had my picture in the news once. Although after I had a panic attack in late 2009, I didn't fully recover, and my stress has worsened because of conflicts with people being ignorant.
I'm 36, and about to turn 37. I also got slandered by people, and I don't really want to advertise my personal life any more online, as this guy in Australia has been sticking to me like a magnet. Uncredited parts are way more secretive. But then wouldn't you want your acting career known?
Years ago, I was supposed to have a few lines in a movie, and when my sister and I finally went to see it at a showing in 2018, I was briefly visible in the scene, just walking by. That was the only part where I recorded dialogue, but that was omitted. So I felt gutted.
I'm not sure what happened, really. I questioned the guy in charge about it. I'm sure somebody had been saying something to him, behind my back. Some actress who blocked me on Twitter got other people to decline me for roles, so it wouldn't at all surprise me.
The thing is, she was harassing me. But after I said something to her, she cried wolf, and got a non harassment order in the court. And my lawyer agreed they were taken the Mickey, yet he lost the USB drive I gave him with proof.
I don't know. Besides having autism, the movie business is full of nasty people anyway. It's a dog eat dog world now. I cannot even be bothered with women much now, as a lot of them just use their good looks to get over, and stamp on us men. I've tried to book escorts on AW, but they just mess me around.
P.S. I notice that my connection is blooming sluggish. But too bad.
