Beatles films Hards days night or Help would be on the tele on boxing day,in fact I have never seen these films shown on tv for years have you?

I really want to see the 1st 2 Beatles films but they never seem to be on TV.

The Magic Mystery Tour was on last year.

I remember the annual airings of The Wizard of Oz and Gone With the Wind on TV. It was always a special event. I believe it was the advent of home video that did away with that tradition.

I don't remember The Sound Of Music being shown on TV much when I was young, but Mary Poppins still seems to be shown every Xmas period.

The Wizard Of Oz seems to be less shown than in the 1980s, when it seemed to be on every other Xmas.

there are no where near as many good films over christmas as there used to be.
its been more that before the year 2000 since we had real good films over christmas time.
