Bus queues no longer exist. There can be a huge queue of people who have been waiting patiently for a bus. Somebody then just walks up as the bus is approaching and is fortunate enough for it to stop right in front of them. Instead of letting everyone else on first, they jump straight on.

On the subject of buses, people who sit in the aisle seat when the window is free and people who feel that their precious bag deserves a seat.

    "Aloominum" What's that about? It's AL-U-MIN-I-UM.
Must admit I'm guilty of that at times. Don't get me wrong if the bus or train is starting to fill up I'll put my bag on my lap, but I've had bad experiences in the past when some oddball has plonked themselves next to me - one old man even had his hand on my leg for most of the journey. I like being left alone on the bus, although I'd never ignore someone if they did talk to me.

I agree about the queues though. I always let pensioners on before me - but they seem to be the worst for pushing in anyway! I wouldn't mind if they asked first but they just knock you out of the way a lot of the time. It's the same in supermarkets, the number of times I've been at the front of a queue buying a newspaper only for someone to push in front of me (usually to buy cigarettes with a credit card) is getting beyond a joke.

cant say ive had that happen roz older people pesioners pushing in front of u and past you.
sounds like they play on the fact that as they are old they take advanage of it.

its more in shops ive had this happen but not with pensioners.

Never cross an old person and a bus. They'll have your bloody eye out!

i hate people having to sit in 'their own particular' seat in the staff room because if you dare to sit in it you soon feel uncomfortable for doing so.

            yeah indeed.
same with people having to drink out of a certain cup even though the cup belongs to no one.
what i mean is in a work environment where the company buts them.

I've found that elderly women are often the worst offenders when it comes to using their age and stature as a crutch. In shops I always seemed to be tapped by these "little dears" to get something off the top shelf for them even though I'm not that tall either and sometimes even I can barely reach the top shelf.

thing is a lot of times not all they could get it themselves but use there age as an excuse.
ive been tapped a few times like this.

Michael Flattley - if I ever meet him I will not be responsible for my actions

George Forman lean mean grilling machine - it's just a posh Breville toasted sandwich maker

Breville Toasted sandwich makers - they never work and are almost impossible to clean

                  Semollina - errrrr.... no

Facebook - I have a theory on this - go through your 'friends' and ask all of them to borrow £20 - the six (if you are lucky) that said yes are the only real 'Friends' - this also does not include relatives, its in the name they are relatives not friends

Gym's - The only pounds that the majority of people lose are the ones that make up your membership fee.

People who say ' I hate Christmas it starts too early now and is too commercialised' - here's an idea stop moaning and try enjoying it - its based around kids so let them enjoy it - I love it and if people moan I make an even bigger deal of it (though I dont agree with people putting Xmas tree's up in there houses in november)
Age is just a number - If yours bothers you stop counting

You're right there Victor, it is the women who are the worst. About 3 months ago I was in my local supermarket and there were about 12 of us in the queue at a till, someone then opened another till and this woman, who looked to be late 60s, who had been at the back of the queue calmly walked right to the front without a backwards glance! None of us said anything, but the cashier at the till made a comment and this woman had the cheek to say she would report her!

I'm by no means an anti-pensioner type by the way, I admire that age group more than any - but I'm sick of being treated so rudely by some of them in queues!

Facebook -- I never got into the Facebook thing. It's like "Look at Me! I've got 10,000 'friends'"
Gyms -- I read somewhere that the busiest time of the year for gyms is January and then after that it tapers off.

Facebook is the most pointless thing ever. If I want to be your friend, I'll stay in contact with you. That's how it works. Whenever I see someone I went to school with and they ask if I have a Facebook I feel like telling them to do one. I didn't really like you then, I probably don't like you now. I have no desire to look at drunken photos of you doing duckface, your kids or animals or posts of you complaining in a passive aggressive manner. Absolutely pointless.

I am starting to feel the same about Twitter too. It's a useful tool for mass messaging thoughts but all people seem to do is talk about bloody reality tv and tell me what their eating.

When Tim Berners-Lee invented the internet as we know it, I bet he thought it'd take great strides forward as humanity became more connected and kick start the digital age. What we actually did was race forward a bit, then decide we should be cataloguing everything we ever do onto social media.

It really does make me wonder what would happen if the humanity got wiped back to nothing and had to start over again. What would they do with all these bricks that appear to do nothing? I'd be pretty annoyed myself if these wondrous cubes full of secrets that humanity managed to crack open after hundreds or maybe thousands of years only to find that all the information that resided in them was pictures of what people had for dinner and arguments over religion.

I have to say though, if they discovered some language now from the olden times and spent forever decoding it only to find it read something like "I had chicken and chips for dinner, it was nice." I'd laugh so hard.

Our newly acquired ferrel cat hates me - It's the one my wife decided to "rescue" even though he didnt seem to be asking for help....

...he had "the op"...and I dont think he has ever forgiven me for that ...(not that I took him to the vet). On the 2nd week we had him he left a huge "message" in my now binned camera bag and last weekend he left another "message" on my side of the bed! The mess in message cannot be over emphasised here. Cotton sheets, duvet and dignity now gone - and I so very nearly got into bed without looking....and I had said there was a funny smell around! Last night he punched his way ""Kill Bill 2" style out of one of our outhouses. This morning I found a door panel missing along with a certain black cat - whom I later heard whistling the tune to "The Great Escape" as he sauntered up the garden....

This is what you meant by "pet hates" isnt it?
