A groundbreaking film from the late 60s based on a stage play about a fading TV soap actress and her live-in lesbian lover.

Spot on. Yeah, I think he was only 48 when he passed away due to a heart attack in 1976. He was a great actor and robbery is a fine film.

The Zulu clue gave it to me. I recall now watching Robbery. good film. Always enjoyed the work of Stanley Baker. Never knew he had been knighted nor that he died young.
