Born 1915 in Belfast, came to London as a boy with his mother and brother and served in the army during the war, spent time as a POW. appeared in a staggering 240 films and countless tv shows he died in 1982 from a respiratory disease leaving one son Jonathon who himself became an actor and writer

240 films plus tv.. I am thinking a character actor. Hell the UK had so many good ones. Just a stab. Denholm Elliott. An under rated actor in my view.
