Who plays the estate agent in the lead in.

    What was WAXWORDS derived from.

Why does the the wax model attract the two men.

Philip Grayson was played by whom.

Freddie Francis was to direct HTDB why did he not.

    good luck.

          1. John Bryans. He played A.J. Stoker...subtle or what?

          2. It was based on a short story by Robert Bloch, author of Psycho. Think it was published in Weird Tales, though not certain of that.

          3. It bears the likeness of a girl they both were smitten with many years before.

          4. The great Peter Cushing.

          5. I think he was unavailable due to other commitments.

The House that Dripped Blood is a great title, but I don't think the segments quite live up to it. For me, the highlight is Sweets to the Sweet. I think it was an error to end with The Cloak, a rather humourous tale, but since the detective was investigating the disappearance of Paul Henderson, it had to be the last.

Trivia: Carleton Hobbs, who played the doctor in Sweets to the Sweet, was Sherlock Holmes on the radio for many years for the BBC.

Your knowledge of Hammer/Amicus film is boundless staffslad. I sure picked an apt quiz for you. You smack my bum every time I too enjoyed SFTS best and agree the The Cloak was a poor way to finish.

Sorry to say it was not the great Cush mate and why was Francis not available?

I'm puzzled about Cushing. Who was it who played Grayson?

Francis was contracted to direct something else--can't remember exactly what, but it fell through in the end.

In my opinion, humourous segments should be relegated to the middle of a film, or better yet, excised altogether.

Joss Ackland played Grayson. A good actor who did not get enuff work imho.

I will accept the Freddie Francis one. It was an American film that just happened to fall thru. A big blow for his career he would have felt.

                Excised all together.

In my mind I was sure it was Cushing that played Grayson. I checked various sources and they all listed Grayson as being played by Cushing. I re-watched the Waxwork segment and it was indeed Cushing.

                      Tales from the Crypt

                      1. Who plays the tour guide at the start of the film.

                      2. What is the character name of the man killed by Joan Collins' character in the first segment?

                      3. How many segments make up the film? (ignoring the framing story)

                      4. In Blind Alleys, what do the blind people line the narrow corridor with that they construct?

                      5. In Wish you were Here, what does the Richard Greene character see just before his car crash?

                      Good luck...

My mistake. So sorry. Ackland played Neville Rogers.

All correct apart from Robert. It did begin with an 'R' though...have another go?
