    Aas much as I am a fan of Transport and all things connected - AI should have really loved On The Buses, but I never took to it it one little bit

    It was so Cheesy and the like and almost a insult to the Transport Industry - but on the plus side it had a fantastic cast at it's varying points in the Series - that was probably equal to the Carry On Films and allmost so too in that it was a farce like them.

    If it was made in the 80s/90s or even now - I could see it actualy taking off with actors like Hugh Dennis and ex-soap actors and actress'. To sum up I guess it was a great show but truly "the wrong time, wrong place" in history, sadly as a comedy as interesting as I am sure that it was certainly meant to be by the writers

    Thanks, I will keep an eye on the TV schedules. I only saw it once, around 1980, when ITV showed it one afternoon

    ITV3 often have series' on rotation such as Goodnight Sweetheart & of course On The Buses
