I was working in a radio station in 1993 and we played that song a lot! I seem to recall that Gabrielle visited the studio and signed CDs that we used as competition prizes.

What a great singer Gabrielle was and still is!! For me the best thing about Gabrielle's talent is how she has nearly constantly kept her staying power for 20 odd years! Though in a way I think her unique soft voice helps very easily too - especialy with the song "Dreams" which is one of my favourites by Gabrielle - though I think my all time favourite has to be Gabrielle and East 17's Duet "If You Ever" which was truly amazing and really illustrated the Brit-pop era of the day - more so as it was a duet where all the voices worked immensly well (which is quite a hard trick to perform in unison generally) I have often found/find!

Dreams was actually playing on the radio in the delivery room when my 1st daughter was born and is now (obviously) one of my all time favorite songs

While I'm not a massive fan I certainly like her better songs, & have her greatest hits CD.

She's certainly an imported contributer to what I call "Brit Soul" which seemed to be quite popular without being a movement as sound around 1985-95.
