                      Convoy G.B. - Laurie Lingo & the Dipsticks ... ok, that's a bit of a cheat, the "band" was actually DJs Dave Lee Travis and Paul Burnett, doing a parody of "Convoy". But it did reach #4

                      How does success in other countries affect 1HW status? Alphaville had multiple hits in Europe, and are still recording and performing. Of course, I'm biased, they are one of my all-time favourite bands
