Whilst visiting Fantasy Island (an amusement park near Skegness) Saturday 3 July 2010, I saw the Pirates' Show in the afternoon. The show ended with Agadoo, and I danced along to it with the Pirates, but got some moves wrong. Just goes to show, it is still performed to this day.

The only time I ever heard this dreadful song all the way through was when Max Headroom "danced" to it. Not up on YouTube as yet.

I actually met "Colin" from Black Lace in the toilets of the Norbreck Castle Hotel in Fleetwood, Blackpool where he was performing

thats another of those songs ive not known the lyrics for or misheard because i allways thought it was filthy and thought he was singing "agggadoo do..do.....push pineapple shake the tree....aggadoo.do.do ..push pineapple off me

It's filthy enough as it is! She showed him much more, not only to dance apparently

In my experience you always gave your pineapple a brief push TWICE before shaking the tree or grinding the coffee.

Sorry ! Gotta agree with Tallulah as far as the pushing is concerned - we ALWAYS used two hands to push - GIANT Pineapple you see *rofl*

Okay, I take your word for it, two hands needed to push a GIANT pineapple.

I've watched the Flash animation at this site Do the Agadoo and seen how to do it.

Here goes (each line in bold, Tallulah's interpretation in italics)

Agadoo-doo-doo, Push Pineapple, Shake The Tree,
Point first finger of each hand to the ceiling 3 times
Push both hands out in front of you 3 times

Correction: Push both hands out ONCE (giant pineapple), and then use both hands to "shake the tree".

Agadoo-doo-doo, Push Pineapple, Grind Coffee,
Point first finger of each hand to the ceiling 3 times
Roll hands around each other in front of you

Correction: Push both hands out ONCE (giant pineapple), before you roll hands around each other in front of you (grind coffee).

To The Left, To The Right, Jump Up And Down And To The Knees,
Point to the left
Point to the right
Jump
Cross your hands over your knees

Put your left arm up, first finger pointing upwards, right arm bent to touch your waist.
Put your right arm up, first finger pointing upwards, left arm bent to touch your waist.
Jump up, and in so doing put both arms high (a bit like a star jump)
Hands on knees, left to left, right to right (according to the animation, don't cross them).

If the pineapple animation is anything to believe, just stand still and hold your arms up in the air.

Erm... I'm not quite sure those actions fit what the lyrics imply you're supposed to do:

For this you'd only want to push one hand forwards, and do a shaking action with the other, surely.
