Saw them live a few years ago (in Margate!) and Phil sang a slow song I've never heard before. He sang it almost a capella, with minimal synth background, and the chorus ended with the words "Mummy [or Mother] I can see my [or our] house from here". That line has been ringing in my ears for months now and it bugs me that I have no idea what song it is or where I may find it. Could be a cover version, but it was a pretty bleak sounding Oakey-esque song so might not be. Was hoping it might surface on the recent new Human League album, but no. Can anyone help?

Thank you so much, Huggie - don't remember this act at all!!!!!!!! I remembered the lyric wrong, I thought it was "Mother" not "Darling come quick" (unless he changed the line when I saw him perform it live). You've made me very happy!Comment

Phil was a big Abba fan back then so by recruiting two girls
one blonde, one brunette... you can see his basic plan
but the abba guys let the girls take over vocals and lead the group
while Bjorn and Benny stayed in the back ground
whereas Phil insisted on being lead singer of the group and
thereby hog the limelightComment
