Sadly, the first single I ever bought was 'Into the Groove' by Madonna. Oh, the shame of it. The first album was called 'Electro 2' because I liked the song 'White Lines'. Later I found out what the song was about
Still love 'get into the groove', I think it's the right side of cheese and the production is really fresh!
Still got my old 'electro comps', though I only have 4,5,8 and 15 along with the U.K. Electro comp - still got quite a few to find!
On a slightly more embarrassing note, 'Two Little Boys' by Rolf Harris was the first record I ever bought () , first album I really can't remember, but Public Enemy's 'It Takes A Nation Of Millions...' was the first to really have an impact on me. Still sounds raw to this day...
First album I ever bought was Olivia Newton John's "Physical" album.
I had just finished watching Grease and thought she was great and
wanted her album.
1st single - My Sweet Lord (George Harrison) 1971
1st Album - Bridge Over Troubled Water (Simon & Garfunkel) 1971. I think this cost me 19/6 (pre-decimalisation obviously). For those younger readers that's about 97 1/2p.
Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy
The first single I bought was Johnny Cash - A thing Called Love - 1960 something.
The first album I bought was a few years later - The best of the Stylistics!!
My first single was crazy little thing called love by queen
First Album was a nolans one(!!) but I can't remember the name. I also remember taking the cover to the hairdressers and getting my hair cut like one of the nolans!
