I need to check out more by this band- I was mostly unaware of them until the singer came to me after one of my band's gigs to congratulate us, he told me about his old band Minor Detail.

I had to forgive Andy McCluskey (OMD front man) for Atomic Kitten, he managed them at the start of their short career

I loved the 80s synth bands...........depeche mode, yazoo, soft cell, Duran Duran, tears for fears, Erasure ............and the list goes on..........magic!

and Kraftwerk but i don't suppose they really belong in the synth 'pop' genre.

I am tryingto recalla nother band/group who (sorry if i've described them wrong to any Synth Fans) - they were called somebody Express and nearly always coverd other's song's into a Melody of Song's. They were brilliant I thought when I discoverd them, sadly though I either lost the tape or it broke and I never found it on CD version. I am sure i'll recall them when someone mentions their name.
