You mean "My White Bicycle" by Nazareth, which was a hit in the summer of 1975. It was out round about the same time as my favourite 1975 TV series was being screened, namely The Survivors.

A Fool To Cry by The Stones always makes me think of the red-hot summer of 1976, when I never used to feel like going back to school in the afternoon after coming home at dinner time. Did anybody else feel same?

Did you know that Typically Tropical also made a follow-up to Barbados called "Rocket Now"? It was quite good too, but I don't think it charted.

Yes, I DO remember Sing Me. As I recall, it charted in early 1977 (I actually bought it later on as an ex-jukebox record. Whatever happened to The Brothers? Gone the same way as Berni Flint, Millican and Nesbit etc.?

Berni Flint is working the cruise ships, I was on a cruise last week and he was the guest comedian/singer. He was good if a little outdated with his material.

For some reason it seems that for most oldies stations glam rock never existed. For instance how often do you hear Mud or The Sweet. I understand why radio stations don't play songs by Gary Glitter but he still made some great records.

Occasionally Blockbuster or one of Sweet's better songs get played on the radio.

It's lucky to hear a Mud song that isn't Tiger Feet or Lonely This Christmas.

Yeah, like Sweet Little Moonshine Sally and L-L-L-Lucy, two of Mud's songs which I have not heard on the radio for years and years and years. Good job I have these on my Mud Greatest Hits CD!

I know. The Glitter Band made some crackers too, like Let's Get Together Again and Just For You. Sad that Gerry Shepherd passed away, as I thought he had a tremendous voice.
