The first song I can remember seeing on TV was Sugar Sugar by The Archies and I think it was on Top of the Pops. What probably made it stick in my mind is that it was accompanied by a cartoon of them singing the song. This would be 1969 I believe.

Cant believe its 1983 that long ago.

It was definitely catchy and/or overplayed, because looking back, it was released in 1983, when i was only three years old!

My dad would leave the radio on when leaving early for work, my mam liked the sound of something being there, firat tunes I can remember would bt George Harrisons "My sweet lord" , Middle of the road's "Chirpy chirpy cheep cheep" and the New seekers "I'd like to teach the world to sing".

It was 1971
