I never really "got" the Wolfman or the Guess Who's hit song about him.

Wolfman Jack was a one trick pony who was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.

I don't know much about Wolfman Jack, but he was in a similar position to the pirate radio DJs over here by broadcasting rock & roll music from just over the Mexican border when a lot of American stations were wary of playing it.
