    telly savalas was number one when i was born.
    the song was IF and it was number one for two weeks.

    All I can say is LOL! The American #1 I have never even heard of.

    My missus has Going Underground by The Jam. Being a Texan she has never heard of this amazing song. I'm going to have to school her in the musics. In the USA chart she got The Wall by Pink Floyd. That's two cools songs to be born to.

    30th November 1976 - eek 34 years ago today!
    That was the first song that I ever bought with my own money (i.e.pocket money 20p per week) .... msut've gone without sweets for a couple of weeks!

    I remember it well, and can even recall the B-side which was 'Lookin' Back' and it was on Bell Records with a blue/silver middle!!!

    Btw: No 1 when I was born was 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine' by Marvin Gaye!

    I was more of a Brotherhood of Man person apparently and whenever 'Kisses for me' came on the TV/radio I'd try to sing along. I deny everything.

    Under The Moon Of Love is one of my favourite songs! Also one of my earliest memories! I was only 3 in '76 an remember it well!
