        I think 'if I could turn back time' by cher was the top of the charts when I was born. Amazing song too

                  If it makes you feel any better, he also appeared on Christmas morning BBC 1 in the same year doing the children's ward hospital visits - hard to believe in hindsight.

                    • I thought I would mention that Pick of the Pops on Radio 2 did the chart for the week I was born on 31st August - I think that it was the first time that they had done 1978 for that particular week. Three Times a Lady by the Commodores was played as scheduled.

                      Listened to it in Wales when I had my birthday break.
