    Re: THE greatest Motown song..

I'll say forever my love [Jimmy Ruffin] but i've passed This way before [Jimmy Ruffin] No wait!! suddenly I hear a symphony [Supremes/Isley Bros] or is it a Lovers concerto [Toys/Supremes] Wow, There's no stopping us now [supremes] no matter Wherever i lay my hat [Marvin Gaye]. If you Put yourself in my place [Chris Clark version] Little darling [Marvin Gaye/Flirtations] and Be young Foolish and Happy [Tams] You just may get The sweetest feeling [Jackie Wilson] God it's so hard to just pick one, especially if you are A man like me [Jimmy James] Perhaps then It takes two [Marvin Gaye/Tammi Terrell] Well i just can't decide so Ill send an S.O.S. Edwin Starr]. Ill finish now but isn't Farewell a lonely sound [Jimmy Ruffin]. Never mind Someday we'll be together [Supremes] no matter Whats, going on [Marvin Gaye]!!!!
Tamla/northern soul it's a way of life you feel it.

What Became of the Broken Hearted - Jimmy Ruffin

I Heard It Through The Grape Vine - Gladys Night and the Pips

*lol* Well must admit my fave is 'Can't Smile Without You' - like 'Sunday Father and Son' and 'Don't Talk To Me Of Love' (sung with Mirielle Mathieu famous in this country for her one hit wonder cover of The Last Waltz - Englebert)

Thanks for being a brave lad !!

    Mandy..
despite the fact BM never wrote it.

for old times sake, I'd have to chose Bermuda Triangle, purely because of the awful lyrics..

According to her discography she is doffo in there Daz - and one of our all times was Don't You Make My Brown Eyes Blue !!

And yes, another of our faves WAS Barry - his lyrics said he knew it all ! ( NOT Motown though )
