Anybody have 80s or 90s playlists on their mp3/ipod? And if so, what's on it? I've got a 400 track 80s playlist and no matter what else I buy, I always come back to it.

Re: Playlists
I don't have an iPod either, but I do have iTunes and what I like to do sometimes is make up themed CDs (just for my own listening pleasure). My most recent one I've called 'Lost F.M. Classics', and it's full of songs which I used to hear a lot on local FM radio in the late '80s / early '90s, which I really liked but never became massive U.K. hits. You could class the choices as soft rock or adult-orientated pop.
I don't have the CD in front of me as I'm typing this, but the track listing is something like....
'The Promise You Made' - C*ck Robin (I have to do that otherwise it get's edited out)
'Satellite' - Hooters
'I Don't Mind At All' - Bourgeois Tagg
'Broken Land' - The Adventures
'Voices Of Babylon' - The Outfield
'Make Me Lose Control' - Eric Carmen
'Streets Of Your Town' - The Go-Betweens
'The Mayor Of Simpleton' - XTC
'Jocelyn Square' - Love And Money
'That's When I Think Of You' - 1927
'Don't Shed A Tear' - Paul Carrack
'Sugarbox' - Then Jerico
'Circle' - Edie Brickell & The New Bohemians
'Message In The Box' - World Party
'Honey Be Good' - The Bible
'Miss America' - The Big Dish
'Runaways' - Dean Collinson
There's a couple more, but I can't remember what they are at the moment."We're the Sweeney son, and we haven't had any dinner!"

I separate my playlists into years, but I do have a 1987-91 one which includes many of these! Edie Brickell's 'Circle' is a beautiful song from the long hot summer of 89.

Re: Playlists
It took me a while to get round to getting an iPod (At first I had a Philips MP3 player that didn't support playlists) but since I got one I've put together many playlists, mostly of complete CDs of a certain style.
I've done a couple of 1980s ones, including one of groups using mostly synths in their music. The Trickster On The Roof
