Wow! That is the version of Formula 1 I used to play with my mates back in the 70s. I recall the best tactics were to accelerate to maximum speed and then play the "Superb Driving" card so you could take the corners at ridiculous speed. There were also disputes as to whether or not you could push other drivers into the lake on that penultimate straight.
