I also won a game called big money, but can only remember it had big gold and silver coins,about the size of a wagon wheel but twice as thick...anyone know it?

Just came across the answer 4 years later, but it seems it was called top the lot, though it does say 'Big Money' on the green cloth note and on the plastic coins.


Slightly strange though as all other picture of the game I can find the contents match the picture on the lid of the box those red 'n' blue disc's look slightly different to me?? they look to have a lip/rim making them more easy to stack



Maybe the money one was a special edition, but surely they'd have made a box to match!!

Thinking about it I'm sure I remember opening it in the back of the car and complaining the wrong game was inside, but maybe this is my mind playing games??

I never liked board games much, though I had a few bought as Christmas presents etc. I tended to like the old ones best, like Snakes and Ladders, Tiddlywinks and Ludo. Had Cluedo (never worked out how to play it), Monopoly (too long and boring) and Scrabble (too much like hard work). But Guess Who...now you're talking! - although technically it's not really a board game!

mind is getting hazy.

A few i loved where ludo,snakes and ladders,scrabble,trivial pursuit.
and many im sure ill remember.

Escape from Colditz was a favourite in my house...only problem was that my older brother always made me be the guards, while he was always the POWs trying to escape...never caught him once!

Risk was another favourite and could last for weeks on end as we would just put all our opposing armies on two continents and wait for the first one to crack...

Go - loved that game as well...reminds me of Sunday evenings with all the family...nice times...

I loved operation although I was scared of the noise it made! We bought a new buckaroo and operation about 4 years ago and they haven't changed much at all. In Germany operation is called Dr Bibber.

Mousetrap was the best thing ever! I remember getting it for Christmas and almost wet myself with excitement (I was only 5)! Best game ever, and I still have it. Last time I broke it out was just before Christmas when a few of my friends came over for a party, and ended up playing mousetrap, drunk, at 2 in the morning, shreiking with glee when something happened! The Neighbours loved us...

I was going to say Monopoly too, but then I remembered the 9 hour long monopoly game I once had and decided I hated it...
