Hi !

I'm trying to remember the name of a toy from probably the early 80s. Its a musical toy you blow into, olive green colour I think, with like a keyboard you play down the side. Its been bugging me for months and I can't find anyone who remembers it.

Thanks, I saw a programme on old toys recently and this guy played one along with an orchestra, strange but true!

It was used in a tv advert recently when they had the orchestra.

Did anyone here own a Melodica?...........It was the one thing I always wanted as a child in the 70's but sadly never had

Me & my brother had something similar in the 1980s, not sure what happened to it.

I had one of these! Santy brought it for my 9th Christmas. Our teacher that year had one and I was dying for a go. She was a middle aged nun who would use it to start us off singing on the right note. She'd regularly vigorously shake it to rid it off saliva droplets. I was in the front row too. I could play it quite well by ear. I got an 'electronic organ' (battery operated really) two years later. It was cream and I'd say my mam got it in Tesco 'cos that's where I spotted it and knew what I wanted to ask for. It was this year I found out about Santy, the first year I rummaged to look for stuff (I found this organ in my mam's wardrobe) and the first year I wasn't properly excited for Christmas.
