Anyone one else have fun (or not) memories from inhabiting an 80s arcade. I remember the thrill of the lights and the excitement of the sound and eventual play. I also remember the disappointment of wandering round and round till the big kids got off of the best games. Lol

I ruled a Tempest machine in the early '80s, but it and Asteroids were the only ones I was any good at. I was terrible at Centipede, Pac Man and Ms. Pac Man (especially bad at that last one). There was a game named Gorf I would play just to hear the aliens in it speak their weird language. I never really saw a full blown arcade outside of a trip to Reno, Nevada where the Circus Circus casino had a huge one. We would have no more than three machines in one place, usually at the backs of shops. My virtual jigsaws: https://www.jigsawplanet.com/beccabear67/Original-photo-puzzles

use to play Pacman and a space invader game called Nemesis.
I don't even know where to find my favourite slots anymore, I only play free slots with bonus sometimes.

Well, I never got to play on a tempest machine, however my older brother told me that when my family was living in Manchester, he was a master on that arcade machine. My dad told me that he even bought him one of those machines, so he was having one at home, and he was inviting all of his friends after school, to show them how great he was at that game. I have always been more into gambling. I started to get interested in poker when I was like 10 years old, and I am still playing. Right now, I am playing a lot on empire778 as all the casinos are closed due to this damn lockdown.Last edited by Saviran; 4 days ago.
