Marble run

I'm sure loads of people had this, where you connect plastic tubes and roll a marble down them? I loved it, I bought 2 sets at a carboot sale as a kid and used to spend hours making different structures. I'd use books etc to hold it up and make it even bigger. : )

My cousins had something like that, it was great fun to try & make a layout using all the pieces.

I always wanted Marble Run but never got it I'd still like to have a go, maybe I should buy the kids one.

I remember going into a toyshop once with my Dad with the intentions of getting one of these. Somehow I came out with a fully working wagon model that had a skip on the back. I got well hoodwinked that day.

Yeah I always wanted one of those... never had one tho. My folks always said that it looked like one of those things that look good but would prob be a bit naff when you got one..... grrrrr lol

I'm surprised some people don't know it, I thought it was a really popular thing. Thats unlucky some people didn't have it, it was a toy that actually was as good as it looked, well I thought so anyway! : )

I'm going to have to get mine out of the loft now! I used to love it when i was a kid, nothing quite as satisfying as the clacking noise the marbles made when you put them down the tube things!

I don't think I've got mine still, not sure. It's the sort of thing you just want more and more of to make it bigger and bigger! I also tried building one in the sink and pouring water down it once I remember! : )
