Trying to remember a game with spinning tops

Hi, I used to have this game, must have been late 80s or early 90s I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called but it was one of my favourite toys, it was a flat surface with these metal spinners that you put on some motorised thing that span them round at a great speed and then they fired out onto the surface, they used to spin so fast they made a high pitch screaming sort of sound, i think you then had to fire something at them and try and make them spin of into the opponents goal. I think it may be similar to bayblades but it was not that. I think it was sort of space or future themed. Anyone have any ideas what it was called?
