    Re: Stretch Armstrong

I remember this being advertised on TV. Really, what was the point of this toy?

ID:	294000 I found the remains of my Stretch Armstrong today,
My folks gave him back to me several years ago as a xmas gift, he was leaking sugar syrup
in a couple of places and was a bit deformed hither n thither, I stuck him out in my shed on
a plastic sheet n forgot about him, when I saw him again quite a lot of syrup had leaked out
and sadly, an ickle moosie had got stuck in it - what a way to go :'(
I then carried out major surgery, and here's what was left

Och, ye poor wee moosie. Off wi' 'is 'ead!

I only remember adverts for these, never had anything like them. Had some rubber character with bendable wire inside, but eventually the wire would wear out and break. Not seen anyone take these to The Repair Shop like they do teddies etc., although there has been a talking doll and a talking Dalek!

I don't remember the original ones, but this was brought back in the 1990s where Stretch looks a little like a clean shaven Hulk Hogan.

A bit like the old Marvelman comics character to me in Culnara's photo.
