Well it's a good thing I never had Mousetrap or Mr Frosty as they could get damaged easily and may not last for years.
And whenever I go on a certain auction site to look for Lights Alive, some of them have a stamp or two missing.

I had a few Zoids back in the late 1990s. I never knew any other kids who had them or had even heard of them.

I still have my Mousetrap, somehow I never managed to break or lose any of the bits, it might have needed a new rubber band at one time.

Mr Frosty was one thing that was advertised a lot but I only remember my cousin having one, after years of asking so he was a bit old for it.

I can't believe that so many people wanted Mr Frosty and Mousetrap because both were so disappointing.

My cousin had Mr Frosty and I ended up ruining it by shoving plasticine in it. They had a Mousetrap game at primary school and you had a bit a fun playing around with the mechanism but that was it really until the kids broke the plastic and it ended up being held together with superglue.

What I really wanted but never had was a Power Wheels electric powered car you could drive around. There were a few kids at school who had them and I used to really envy the way they would drive them down the street and around the park. One kid even used to drive a Power Wheels to and from school. My parents viewed Power Wheels as the height of opulence and excess for spoilt kids who's parents had more money than sense.

I also wanted an Tomy Omnibot robot. The asking price was £50 at a car boot sale but my mother thought it was too expensive for what it was.

I always wanted a Lights Alive but I had a Magna Doodle instead.
Mr Frosty and Mousetrap were also toys I never ever had.

I always wanted Ker-Plunk! and an Action Man.

Former: "It's just marbles and tooth-picks!"
Latter: "You don't want to play with dolls, do you?"

    I'm still scarred!

I was also in 2 minds about getting one, because I was too young to know how to get the best out of the one me & my brother had.

In the end I had more urgent things to spend my money on.

One of my cousins had Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots and I played it once with him and really wanted one of my own but never got one.

I was a lucky kid as most of the time my folks got me more than I wanted and my dad definitely got me a lot of toys that he wanted to play with as well!
