Does anyone remember a toy you could get in the 70s. I think they were to do with science. I remember the boxes about the size of a book hanging on one of those racks that turn.
I was very young, but I recall a picture of a white haired character on the box. The puzzles/experiments were named after him. Professor or Doctor "something " I think.
I've asked so many people, but nobody can remember them.
    Help...please.

Remus Play Kits....not Uncle Remus, he was a character in the Brer Rabbit stories!

I remember Remus toys very well, only ever saw them in corner shop type places. Cheap and cheerful, on the spinning rack.

Those sound a lot like the old “Dr. Zed” or “Prof. Brain”-style science kits, but the white-haired character makes me think it could actually have been the Dr. Solar science kits from the 70s. They came in book-sized boxes and were sold on spinning toy racks in stores.
Another possibility is the Professor Branestawm or Dr. Who-style puzzle/science sets, which also had cartoon scientist characters on the packaging. The white hair detail really feels familiar though!
