    Re: Argos Catalogue 1976

Not an iPod in sight ! Any game made by Ideal was a must in the 70s/80s.
Reminds me of the Green Shield Stamps catalogues ( were they to be had in the UK ?).

cool, i see that people are selling them as scanned in pdf files, not the actual catalogue itself. Good for storage and means its pages will never depreciate.

OMG how did you get those pics? that is one old catalogue in good nick too my the looks of it. I wasnt even aware Argos existed back then.
I'll keep saying it, but wasnt life so simplistic back then. kids are spoilt for choice now and its all so commercial. everything is made in china now, where as back then the UK industry survived. mattel killed the likes of good old Palitoy who made my beloved Girls world head and tiny tears. It is so sad now, everything has to be bigger better faster, god i sound like my parents!!

I certainly remember a few people with those toys.

I agree about old bikes, it would be nice to see a whole Raleigh catalogue uploaded.

It interesting to see some of the Raleigh range badged as Sunbeam.
