Such a shame he died, before seeing Randall and Hopkirk become as famous as it was.

Fantastic show, one of my favourites. Reeves & Mortimer should have left well alone.

What a great series Randall And Hopkirk was.
I loved Mike Pratt and Kenneth Cope in this.

Kenneth Cope was in Coronation Street recently and he looks so old now.

Brookie was me & the missus' fav programme ....but I remember right back to when it first started in 1982, my last year at comp

My fav character was Barry Grant..he made SUCH an impressive villain (oh & Harry Cross of course was great; and Amanda Burton for totty!

We watched the last ever episode on board the Hull-Zeebrugge ferry Nov 2003 IIRC

Last Saturday we were in York, and we walked down the steps by the river where Damon was knifed & killed in the 'Damon & Debbie' spin-off

oh yes, and who can forget THAT kiss ??

I was a big fan of Brookie also Barry Grant was a right old villian,Harry Cross was a right moaning grumpy old manhe lived in the only bungalow they had in the close,Marty Kenneth Cope moved into the bungalow,if I can remember before the series ended.
Max Farnham lived at no 5,his first wife Sussannah came back into the show towards the end,he also had wife no 2 patricia.
Jimmy and Jacki Corkhill were always quarrelling,Jimmy played a good part though.
Ron Dixon was a pain in the ****,he had that mobile van selling grocieries,he left his wife for a young model Bev,anyone jog their memories of more characters of the show

I thought Mike Pratt was good when he used to write songs for the Wombles!

                    Re: Mike Pratt

It aways impressed me how Mike kept a poker face on when the ghost appeared so nobody else knew it was there.

However on sunny days it had a shadow and I never understood as a kid how nobody noticed that - one episode they were looking for a clue on some family motto inscription on a outside wall and when Marty crouched down to look at it the police inspectors view must have been totally blocked out!

He was another of those actors of his time who also popped up for a one-off character part in many other shows: The Saint, The Champions, U.F.O. etc.

                            Re: Mike Pratt

I've got almost all of the original 'Randall & Hopkirk' series on DVD, and I often dip in and enjoy an episode here and there. It's a shame Mike Pratt isn't better remembered, as Jeff Randall was a great character, and of course, he got to do plenty of driving of his now-classic Vauxhall Victor FD saloon - a car I've always liked.

Trivia: Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) had an alternate title sequence made for release in the U.S. and was known as My Partner The Ghost.
