Mike Baldwin in Coronation Street - one of his catchphrases when he was either in the Kabin or Corner Shop back in the 1980s or early 1990s was: "a packet of my cigars, please".

                    Jimmy Saville

Incidentally I read somewhere that Clint Eastwood actually HATED those cheroots in those films.

Oh yeah, Rumpole of the Bailey. Smoked small cheroots.

                        Re: Cigars

I heard Clint Eastwood is a non-smoker in real life & his trademark squint was due to a mixture of cigar smoke & horsehair affecting his eyes.

Considering he played cowboys for a lot of his early career it really was suffering for his art.

The arrogance of him sitting in the chair of Jim fix it with cigar in his hand

A very bad example as it would encourage young people to smoke at an early age.
