80's air hockey/ spinning top type game?

Just thought about an advert I remember seeing for a smallish toy that was a bit like an air hockey game or perhaps spinning tops? There were two boys in the ad competing against each other. I just can't remember what it was called. I really wanted one and thought one of the boys looked a bit like Paul Gambacinni (obviously not him, but looked like him lol). Would love to see it again to see the game and to see if there is a PG resemblance!

It sounds a bit like Space Attack, which I had for many years until the glue holding the baseboard wore out.
