Yeah I agree with you there Darren, I intend to catch some of the older Bond movies sometime soon hopefully. I was kinda the same as Trickyvee in that I absolutely hated the sight of all things Bond but having fond memories of Brosnan's tenure and being blown away by Daniel Craig's appointment in Casino Royale, I admit that I have developed a bit of love for the 007 franchise.
Bit of a question for the Bond fans who are up on the older movies, I remember being able to play as the old Bond villains on Goldeneye N64 and there was a bloke who wore a white top hat and had half of his face painted white, looked like some sort of voodoo character. Who was this, was this bloke an actual Bond villain?

That was Baron Samedi from You Only Live Twice who was played by Geoffrey Holder. He was Mr. Big's henchman.
A View To A Kill was on earlier. Got it on dvd though. I did watch a bit and it was really noticable how much make up, and how old Rog looked by that one - even he's said he should have left when Octopussy came out. His wig was a bit obvious, but he'd also really slimmed for his final one, bit like when he did his first Bond, Live and Let Die, Moore has often said he has a weight problem - basically eating too much and he loves his grub - if you've ever seen The Saint or The Persuaders you can see how broad he was and then by his first Bond he was very slim. Cubby Broccoli ordered him to 'get a hair cut and go on a diet' when he was cast...lol. I also felt he'd had a face lift before A View To A Kill was made as his cheeks looked awfully taughter than previously...
Had a cracking opening theme tune by Duran Duran, and their video for the song was very good too...

Baron Samedi! Nice one Darren, I will have to check that one out, he looks like an interesting baddie!
It's a good movie. Has a distinct 70s feel to it. Not sure I'd like it so much now if I'd never seen it before though... like so much else on this forum I guess.

Yeah couldn't believe A View To A Kill came on on the day of my last post! I watched a bit of it and also noticed how old RM looked. I was laughing at his bouffanty hair.
Live and Let Die without a doubt, everything about it is superb, the theme, Jane Seymour as the beautiful Solitaire, Geoffrey Holder as Baron Samedi, the whole 70's vibe the way they talk, clothes they wear.
Also like View To A kIll - for the Duran Duran theme, Christopher Walken, Grace Jones - nuff said.
Casino Royale - Chris Cornell theme, Daniel Craig as bond, fast paced action and super slick for a new generation who were not aware of James Bond nor brought up on Bond like I was.
