70s or early 80s. It may have been a series of unrelated films. It is about two rock star brothers who buy a stately home in a village and one of them is wrongly accused by the villagers of a crime against a woman and killed by them. The remaining brother keeps living there ruling over the repentant villagers using them to kill anyone who travels to the village. They dump the vehicles of the slain in a lake and the last scene is of a car being pulled out of the water by cops.
The opening shot of the film is of a scarecrow in a field by a road. The face of the scarecrow is a comic looking crow itself.
The title may be something about a dark rose or flower.
