Film censorship in the UK has become somewhat more relaxed now than when VCR's first became popular. Not only have many of the so-called 'nasties' found their way back on the shelves again but also hard-core pornography has been legalized as well, so our censorship is as relaxed now as what it is in the States.
I remember it was on 'John Craven's Newsround' or something like that about the new video censorship law and a whole load of small children were shown describing scenes of violence they had seen in video films. It shocked my father at the time to think that their parents were allowing them to see that sort of thing.
