Who remembers Pob in the 80's?

Did anyone else watch this strange show? I think it was on every day on 4, but at lunchtimes, so a lot of kids probably missed it. I used to go home for lunch (not sure if thats even allowed now!) so I got to see it. It was really funny but very odd, Pob was a wooden puppet with a red and yellow striped jumper, and he had a Teddy bear friend. His jumper would leave a long thread that a lady would follow round and get clues to...whatever. At the end Pob would spit on the screen and polish it! He never really spoke apart from making noises! : )

Yeah I watched it, we use to pull a pob face at each other,while pulling our ears!

I remember it was on sundays on Channel 4 at one time.

One boy at school could do a really good Pob impression just by pushing his ears forward.

Hated him. Found it disgusting when kids copied him on buses and spat on windows like him and spelt their names...very unhygenic!

I remember watching one episode when he was dressed as Chinaman and was doing all the stereotypical chinaman things, broadcast after a lengthy news bulletin about the Tiananmen Square massacre. It was totally surreal!

Brilliant observation, i've never seen them together, maybe they're the same person.
