"'Allo 'Allo"???? How could anyone hate that? I love the fact that they managed to repeat the same ten jokes every episode for the entire series and get away with it! And I'm not being "ironic" either as I have all the box sets!

And "Fawlty Towers"???? To say that is awful is just...well....frankly sick. You should be ashamed of yourself!

Now I definitely agree with "My Family" being on the list... which is probably one of the most turgid piles of cack I have ever had the misfortune to see, especially because it wastes the talent of the great Wolfie Smith! I say "One of" as the worst sitcom ever made has to be the dreaded "Two Pints....".

Whenever that hellish "Two Pints..." theme tune comes on I actually think slashing my wrists would be a more amusing alternative.

I'm wondering if anyone remembers the infamous, rather ill-advised, "Heil Honey, I'm Home!"? Adolf Hitler faked his suicide in the bunker and he and Eva move to America only to meet their new neighbours.....a Jewish family! With.......erm.....hilarious consequences.....erm.....

Though I suppose, post-South Park, it may not be as bad as it is remembered?

Worst sitcom ever was No Frills or No Laughs as I called it which starred Nora Batty (Kathy Staff I think).And re Are you being Served /Grace and Favour it should have been canned as soon as Mr Lucas left.

The Brighton Belles was awfull (imho). I love The Golden Girls but our good old british version was terrible. So bad it was cancelled. On saying that The Golden Palace (the follow up to the golden girls) was terrible too. It only lasted 1 season.

Sitcoms I didn't like were Full House, The Cuckoo Waltz, Oh No, It's Selwyn Froggitt and The Dustbinmen.


Bad sitcoms I loved were Mind Your Language and Only When I Laugh.

I remember watching a couple of episodes of 'Two Up, Two Down' (No. Not 3 up, 2 down) It starred Paul Nicholas and Su Pollard both of whom went on to better things. I watched a second episode because I couldn't believe how bad the first one was. They were a couple of squatters who wouldn't get out of the house the posher couple owned and they all ended up sharing. That wouldn't make you laugh would it?

One thing I've noticed is that many sit-coms start off well, but end up going running out of ideas.

One that have done this include 2.4 Children, The Brittas Empire, Ad-Fab & Men Behaving Badly. I'm sure there are more.

Can't believe nobody has chucked in "Mind your language" I seem to remember that being a pretty dire sitcom.

I've got to agree that "On the buses" should be here too BUT in it's defence I recently sat through the movie "Holiday on the buses" and although it itself is pretty rubbish it was worth it just to see the outside clips of 70's Britain, that was brilliant.

I've just got the entire series of Keeping up Appearances.......oh come on....you MUST get the irony of it??
I like My Family, mainly for Robert Lyndsay, think he's a great actor.
Allo allo and Blackadder are my biggest hates......apart from ANYTHING to do with Monty Python, which is just utter rubbish.
