Children's drama with alien boy whose face went blank?????

Anyone remember this?! - none of my friends can and it's driving me mad!

The only bit I remember is a teenage boy who looked quite normal but when he went to sleep (in a family's car in their garage) his face went blank - all smooth with no features. He was some sort of alien...

If anyone else remembers this let me know!

I was thinking Aliens In The Family, I remember the actor appeared on Blue Peter & mentioned it took hours to have the mask glued onto his face.

Now I need to see if I can get it on dvd....
