    Does anyone remember the quiz show Gambit

    It was based on the card game blackjack or pontoon

    i think it was shown in early evenings on ITV in the early to mid eighties and the host was Fred Dinnage but I think he was eventually replaced by Tom O'Conner

    it was your typical dodgy gameshow from that era with brilliant prizes like hoovers and cutlery with the star prize usually being a holiday that was almost never won

      Gambit was also the name of a chocolate bar by Cadburys, just to add some more confusion.

        i actually do remember it somehow.

        and yes there was a choccie bar y the same name

        dont remember a character by that name 2 outta 3 not bad.

          There's Mike Gambit from the New Avengers & Gambit is one of the X-Men.

            I used to really enjoy Gambit with Fred Dineage. The dim witted female assistant Michelle Lambourne used to get some glares from Fred if she said something really stupid on the show.
