Yes i think i heard too about a remake.
Would have been hard to top the original for sheer atmosphere.

I do rewmember the third series never happened.

More shows i feel should be raised at the bbc for either being shown again or getting a reboot.

Sure look d.m has been rebooted.

Yes i know the odd person who loves it.

Would love to see the tripods come back on scared me it did.

This was one series that should have been good, but due to a tiny budget, was laughable. Amazingly, it did have a good following.

Blockbusters was rebooted as well as catchphrase.

Catchphrase has done better of the 2.

Open all hrs reboot is pretty good altho quite a few of the original cast are in it..

Yes a lot of people i know have said they just dont like the thunderbirds reboot.

I guess the originals just have a certain charm or something the reboots dont have for some reason.

I am sure there are many others that I'd pick - but it has to be time soon I think for Bread to return (seeing the Family older) and may-be more wiser.

It will be 25 years in 2016 as un-imaginable as it is since Bread last finished. That is a long long time in any context I think without much reference of any sort of comeback given how popular it used to be!

I remember Dr Who Magazine had an interview with the creator of Star Cops Chris Boucher, who originally wrote it as a radio series, but the BBC thought it was going to be too simlar to Earthsearch so decided it would be better on TV, especially as it was around the time Dr Who was put on hold.

I've not seen Starcops but it sounds good.
The eps were on YT, not sure if they still are. It was an ambitious effort, but at the time audiences just couldn't comprehend a police procedural set in the near future/space and it had the usual faults of TV production of that era; too bright lighting being one of them

Our Friends In The North was superb! Absolutely superb. I'd be amazing to see what happened to Nicky, Geordie etc since the mid 90s - Maybe Nicky's now Jeremy Corbyn?! Which leads us of course to the Citizen Smith rumour, which has now - thankfully - been firmly quashed by John Sullivan's family. Clearly Robert Lindsay thought 'Corbyn' and saw potential to satirise, all well and good I guess, but it's a bit rich that he claimed he had 'unfinished business' with Wolfie considering he tried his best to distance himself from the role through the 80s and 90s

I agree Blake's 7 would be great for a reboot. Likewise Star Cops - basically shows that would benefit greatly now from CGI and from broader tastes in the viewing public
