A one-off cartoon I remember being shown around Christmas one year in the early 1980s was called the Christmas Tree Train. I've not noticed it mentioned in any listings here yet.

Thanks for that, hopefully it narrows things down.

The Christmas period used to be a good time for one-off cartoons, not always festive themed but always welcome, things like Banjo The Cat, Lyle The Crocodile, & The California Raisins animation Channel 4 seemed to show at every holiday for a few years.
