I remember this too so I searched it and found this description :
1970s kids show presented by Alice (a hamster) and Crow.Later presented by a dragon called Duncan and then in the 1980s by the monkey-like Cosmo and Dibs at a market, with, Gary Wilmot ..

Re: who remembers you and me
I remember the Cosmo and Dibs version. It had different human co-presenters all the time, the beginning was a cartoon animation done in colouring pencil style of a group of kids sauntering along in the distance, UB40 did a cover of the intro music and song as the animation played...I remember the dark monkey was voiced by a woman and had a Geordie accent which was odd as the dark monkey puppet was supposed to be a West Indian...lol

Re: who remembers you and me
It is possible to have mix 'n' match races to accents you know. My mate's Pakistani through and through, but he talks just as Yorkshire as me. Lingo rubs off on people.
I can't say I was much of a fan simply because they made us watch it at school. Anything watched at school becomes deeply uncool.
