Identify kids TV program for my niece?

Brand new to the forum, found you after searching for the last hour in a quest to help my niece identify a program she used to watch.
She was born late 1997 so I'm presuming it was showing in the early 2000's. All she (and her Mum) remember is it was set in a house and though you could hear people they were never seen. When these people left the kitchen items that lived on a Welsh dresser (?) would come to life. One was apparently a tea bag?! Not much to go on I'm afraid. Any ideas?

It sounds like an advert rather than a TV programme, although there could be a few programmes that it sounds similar to.
