I don't know why but growing up iI always thought it was part Scotish/part Australian - I think I used to get it confused with the Flying Doctors - I dunno why lol

I used to assume that the shop was probably an inspiration for Mrs Goggins' Post Office in Postman Pat.

I'm only up to episode 52 (just past the first year mark) and the Blair family is running the shop with a post office window in it.
The theme music is by Silly Wizard.

Yes, it was Emmerdale in a kilt to be honest - was it Mrs Mack who ran the Post Office in the village?
It was shown around 6.30 pm after Scotland Today in Scotland, but mid-afternoon at around 3.00 pm south of the border.

It seems to be of it's time in that, no particularly wobbly sets however.
Anyone reading follow this show? The accents aren't at all thick to me, not like in say Gregory's Girl, I haven't had any worries understanding them.
