It's great to see someone documenting this corner of British television history. The 1972 series doesn't get nearly as much attention as it deserves, and having detailed articles makes it much easier for newer fans to discover and appreciate it.

Thanks a lot for the praise! Don’t get a lot of it on my other pages. Out of curiosity, know of a better way to watch the show?

It's been a while, hasn't it?

Since the beginning of this year, I've been writing and posting on my blog, Retro Ripples: "a trail through a forgotten part of British children's television". I am particularly interested in Larry the Lamb and Toytown, hence that being the bulk of the blog.

Here's the first of my two articles on the 1972-1974 series I published some time ago. Tell me what you think!

Always curious to read about things televisual from before my time. Even bought a two disc Muffin The Mule DVD set once. Now with Youtube you can check out a lot of old tv easily.

I just associated Toytown with Noddy and figured it was down the road from Hattytown.

Ah, interesting you should say that. My Toytown FAQ explains the confusion between Larry and Noddy.

It's also much harder to find Larry on the Tube - it hasn't even received a DVD release!
